Good morning to our Sccyber Community!
There is a lot of talk surrounding what will happen in the coming days for students and school if the province decides to recommend or mandate extended school closures.
Thankfully, as a fully online school,
we are in a good position to deal with the possibility of school
closures. Our teachers all work from home already, and most of our
students, even those that usually come to a classroom to do their work,
should be able to continue working from home from a personal device if such measures become necessary.
At this time, no school closures have been announced in Alberta, but it could become a possibility if our health officials feel the need to follow some other provinces that are also experiencing outbreaks in trying to limit the spread.
I urge you to get your information about this unfolding situation from Alberta Health Services https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/topics/Page16944.aspx
and not from the many random internet sources out there that may or may
not have valid and up to date information. There is a lot of panic and
fear-mongering going on right now and Alberta Health Services is an
information source that you can trust.
May our Creator bless you and your family with good health!
